This year the Fennell in the garden has attracted an enormous number of insects Getting a sharp picture takes patience with the wind blowing the plant about, the insects not standing still and a narrow depth of focus. Every now and then one comes out well, 90% + get deleted.
Given the very healthy food supply the spiders have now moved in. Tried to get a number of pictures of the struggle between the fly and the spider but most came out blurred due to the movement. By the time I had changed the settings on the camera it was all over, the speed at which the spider wound its thread around the prey was quite impressive.
