Bellevue

Beautiful point in the city of Dordrecht, where three rivers come together: Merwede, Noord and Oude Maas. This is a view from Merwekade to Hotel Restuarant Bellevue at Groothoofd. Just behind Bellevue the medieval town-gate Groothoofdspoort with its steeple; in its present state it dates from 1618, but behind the facade the original walls, probably dating from the beginning of the 15th century, have been preserved.
