For this composite, the lights were set up for two separate shots (the origami crane and the self portrait) and then scaled to size.
The light a camera right was a backlight used to emulate the background lighting and give that hard, sunlit glow.

We ride!
. . . FOR GLORY!
One of the few vocal impression I'm good at is the movie trailer voice. I can passably sound like that deep-voiced guy you hear in the action trailer sequences. Often, one of the things I say to friends when we're getting ready to go somewhere is, "We ride! For glory!" in that deep vocal bass.
So I got to thinking: What would it look like if I were really riding for glory?
I think this image suits the epic atmosphere quite well.
