between heaven and earth

A recurring dream I have had many times is one in which I am running. I run for miles, very fast and effortlessly, along the shore. My feet barely seem to touch the sand and then they are not touching the sand at all and I am above it and moving faster now and higher. And now, I'm higher still and I'm flying above the earth and looking down as I go and I see the changing terrain speeding past me, the ocean, plains, mountains, rivers and valleys. When I wake up I feel a sense of well being and I'm not sure they are dreams at all but something more. As if i were able to slip into the space between heaven and earth for a short time.
