Decorative glass paste from Kenchreae, Isthmia Museum, July 2011

5telios has added a photo to the pool:

Decorative glass paste from Kenchreae, Isthmia Museum, July 2011

The corner of a decorative glass / opus sectile plate, currently held in the museum at Isthmia. Probably coming from an Alexandrian workshop, it dates from the C4th and was found in the Temple of Isis at Kenchreae which had been submerged as a result of the earth quake in 375AD.

More later on my blog...

Shot on a Nikon D3100 with the amazingly versatile Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 lens, fairly wide open.
